Sssshhhhhh! It’s a SECRET! A Secret Supper tasting event that is. Seattle Met readers get a first taste at Loulay next to the Sheraton in downtown Seattle, named the Best Restaurant of 2014

Sssshhhhh it’s a secret! Who doesn’t want to dine at Seattle’s restaurant of the year before everyone else hears about it? Well, the secret is out! On October 20, nearly 150 guests came together for Seattle Met’s second annual Secret Supper. Presented by Campari, the event celebrated Seattle Met’s restaurant of the year, Loulay Kitchen & Bar. Revelers sipped specialty cocktails and enjoyed a multi-course meal in the gorgeous, lofty space. Ticketholders were the first in the city to find out the name of the winning restaurant, which was revealed to them on the morning of the event.
As a Publisher, this event was an easier one to produce. The venue is selected by Seattle Met’s anonymous food critic earlier in the year. Once the restaurant commited to be closed for one evening, we selected two dinner seatings 5pm and 8pm, with a smaller VIP experience at 7pm. Guests enjoyed a red carpet step & repeat photo experience sponsored by a local luxury apartment highrise, Premiere on Pine, as they entered the space along with specialty cocktails provided by the spirits sponsor. The restaurant was responsible for creating the menu for the evening, along with suggested wine pairings. The opportunity here is that the restaurant can showcase the items from the menu that make this restaurant the chosen hotspot of the year. Guests left satisfied with swanky swag bags in hand.
