Brotherton Cadillac Celebrity Steak-out works hard to find a cure for cancer by raising funds and awareness at Morton’s Steakout in August 2013

On Tuesday, August 20, 2013, over 200 people gathered in downtown Seattle to celebrate the fourth annual Brotherton Cadillac Celebrity Steak-Out. Upon arrival, guests walked the red carpet and mingled in Mario’s, a chic downtown boutique, as they sipped Stella Artois, Chateau Ste Michelle wines, and Russell’s Reserve and Glass Vodka cocktails and perused the silent auction. Items up for bid included, among other things, Chihuly artwork, a Putto Cherub sculpture, one-of-a-kind Warren Miller artwork, a Phototainment photo booth, exquisite wines, and spa, shopping and dining experiences. After the vibrant social hour, guests were led downstairs to Morton’s The Steakhouse to enjoy a delicious filet mignon dinner served by local and national celebrities, including MLB All-Star and World Champion Jamie Moyer, Loaded bassist Jeff Rouse, 2012 Olympic swimmer Ariana Kukors, Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde, reporter/producer at Root Sports Northwest Jen Mueller, former Seattle SuperSonic Slick Watts, X Factor 2011 finalist Phillip Lomax, Miss Washington 2013 Reina Almon, and NFL greats Jacob Green and Dave Krieg. Throughout dinner, partygoers bid on priceless live auction items, including ski days with Warren Miller, the ultimate 3d home theater, VIP Sundance Film Festival Experience, Chihuly glass artwork, and numerous vacation packages. The inspiring evening of flavor, fun, and philanthropy raised $220,000 for Catch a Cure for Cancer™. Catch a Cure for Cancer™ is a community-led fundraising campaign created by The Moyer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for early cancer detection research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, a world leader in cancer research, prevention, and treatment.
